LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC announces the addition of eight new attorneys to the firm. Six of the attorneys are based in the Louisville, Ky., office, one is based in the Lexington, Ky., office, and one is based in the Nashville, Tenn., office.
Louisville, Ky., Office Additions:
Neil Barton joins the Torts & Insurance Practice Service Group. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2017. While in law school, Barton was Editor in Chief of the University of Louisville Law Review, volume 55. Prior to joining the firm, Barton served as a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Colin H. Lindsay, Western District of Kentucky. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Luke Ervin joins the Business & Finance Service Group. He graduated from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2017, magna cum laude. During law school, Ervin served as an Articles Selection Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review, volume 55. Before joining Stites & Harbison, Ervin was a Summer Associate for the firm in 2016. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Mina Khalil joins the Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2015. Khalil served on the University of Louisville Law Review’s Editorial Board as a Note Editor and was selected for online publication. During law school, he founded and served as president of the Multicultural Law Students Association (MLSA). Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Khalil was a judicial clerk for two years for top U.S. Magistrate Judge Edward Atkins in Pikeville, Kentucky. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Carolyn Purcell joins the Business Litigation Service Group. She earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2016. During law school, she was an Articles Selection Editor for the University of Louisville Law Review, volume 54. Purcell joined Stites & Harbison after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Simpson, III, U.S. District Court of the Western District of Kentucky. Purcell is a coach of the Wagner Labor and Employment Moot Court team at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Jameson (Jack) Seiffert joins the Business & Finance Service Group. He earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, cum laude, in 2017. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, he was a Summer Associate in 2016. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Angelica Sanchez Vega joins the Real Estate Service Group. She earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, cum laude, in 2017. While in law school, Sanchez Vega worked for the Legal Department of the City of South Bend and was an intern for Laura Devine Solicitors in London. Sanchez Vega’s past work includes serving as a Summer Associate for Stites & Harbison in 2016. She is fluent in Spanish and admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Lexington, Ky., Office Addition:
Alison Zeitlin joins the Business & Finance Service Group. She graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2017. During law school, she was a Productions Editor for the Kentucky Law Journal and was a legal intern for the UK Legal Clinic. Zeitlin previously participated in the firm’s Summer Associate program in 2015 and 2016. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
Nashville, Tenn., Office Addition:
Summer Young joins the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2017 and her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Vanderbilt University in 2013. Young has served as a technical advisor for Stites & Harbison’s Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group, 2015-17. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk for Vanderbilt Office of the General Council (summer 2015), a Pharmacology Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (2013-14), and an intern for Vanderbilt University Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization (2012-13). She is admitted to practice in Tennessee.
