Stites & Harbison Elects Richard Myers, Jr. to Management Committee

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC recently elected attorney Richard Myers Jr. to the firm’s six-member Management Committee to serve a two-year term. Myers replaces John Wingo, who completed two full terms of service and has rotated off the committee.

Myers is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney and Member (Partner) based in the Nashville, Tenn., office. As a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group, his practice focuses on patent-related aspects of intellectual property, including counseling clients on patent infringement, patent validity, and patentability. As a former patent examiner and an attorney in the private sector, he has examined or prosecuted over 600 patent applications. With an academic background in chemistry, his practice primarily focuses on life sciences technology, including a wide variety of chemical and pharmaceutical arts. He previously served as co-chair of the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®, Managing Intellectual Property (IP Stars) and Mid-South Super Lawyers®.
Stites & Harbison’s Chair and the Management Committee serve as the firm’s board of directors and are responsible for all matters relating to the management of the firm. Members of the Management Committee are nominated for election by a Nominating Committee drawn from the members of the firm.
