Managing IP selects Amy Sullivan Cahill and Mandy Wilson Decker to "Top 250 Women in IP" list

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Managing Intellectual Property magazine recently selected two Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorneys, Amy Sullivan Cahill and Mandy Wilson Decker, to the second edition of Managing Intellectual Property’s “Top 250 Women in IP.” Cahill and Decker are the only IP women attorneys honored from Kentucky.
The “Top 250 Women in IP” list recognizes the leading women IP lawyers in the U.S. Nominees are selected from the research conducted for Managing IP’s 2014 “IP Stars” list, which included extensive client and peer interviews from across the nation. The highest ranking women attorneys from that list make up the “Top 250 Women in IP.”
Cahill is a Member (Partner) of Stites & Harbison based in Louisville. Her practice focuses on trademark and copyright litigation, advertising review, trademark prosecution, trade secret counseling and litigation, licensing and transactional matters including clinical research trials. Cahill is versed in registration and enforcement of intellectual property rights through the Department of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and the PRO-IP Act, including preventing the importation of overseas counterfeit products. Her healthcare work focuses on new drug and device commercialization, including protection of resulting intellectual property and healthcare related software licensing.
Decker, also a Member (Partner) of the firm and based in Louisville, is a Registered Patent Attorney. Her practice focuses on intellectual property protection strategy, including counseling clients on infringement, validity and patentability, transfer of intellectual property, patent drafting, and patent prosecution. Contributing to her practice is a scientific background in chemistry and experience with academic and commercial research in the areas of biochemistry, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sciences. Decker is regularly called upon to speak across the country on issues relating to patent prosecution, protecting intellectual property, intellectual property strategies in a global marketplace, and life sciences technologies.
