David Nagle and Bill Schulman named Co-Chairs

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC, has named David W. Nagle, Jr., and B. Aaron (Bill) Schulman as Co-Chairs of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group. Nagle and Schulman succeed Joel T. Beres and Jack A. Wheat, who have served as the service group’s co-chairs since 2000. Beres and Wheat will continue their legal practice in the area of intellectual property law.
David Nagle is a member (partner) of the firm based in Louisville, Ky. He is a Registered Patent Attorney who has been with the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group since 2000. He holds an advanced engineering degree, and his technical knowledge consistently allows him to better understand his clients’ business needs and processes. He is recognized as a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP™), a designation which acknowledges licensing professionals who have demonstrated their experience and proficiency in licensing and the commercialization of intellectual property. Outside of the firm, Nagle serves on the Board of Trustees of WLKY-TV’s Spirit of Louisville Foundation.
Bill Schulman, a member (partner) of the firm based in Alexandria, Va., is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney trained as a biologist. His practice focuses primarily on protecting inventions in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He has been counseling clients in these industries for more than 30 years. He has deep experience in federal litigation involving all aspects of intellectual property and related fields, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. Outside of the firm, Schulman has participated in Shakespeare in the Parque, a non-profit cultural arts organization in Alexandria, Virginia, for which he served as a donor and pro bono attorney. He has also been active with the Jefferson County Historical Society of Charles Town, West Virginia, as both a member and pro bono attorney.
