Stites & Harbison Promotes Three Attorneys

LEXINGTON, Ky.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC announced today that three attorneys have been promoted to Member (Partner). The promotions are effective January 1, 2024. The new Members (Partners) include:

Katie M. Glass – Lexington and Frankfort, Ky., offices – Business Litigation Service Group

Glass’s practice primarily involves advising the firm’s utility clients on a wide variety of complex regulatory and administrative law matters. Glass works closely with clients to ensure that they are complying with Kentucky law in a heavily regulated and vital industry. She is part of a small bar of Kentucky lawyers that appear regularly before the Public Service Commission of Kentucky on matters concerning utility ratemaking, construction and operation of utility facilities, and other service-related and compliance matters. Glass also has gained experience throughout her career in a wide variety of other areas of the law, including general civil litigation, appeals, creditor’s rights and bankruptcy.

Mary Lucille Noah (Mary Lu) – Nashville, Tenn., office – Real Estate and Banking Service Group

Noah’s practice primarily involves representing borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, including acquisition and construction loans, term loan facilities, asset based secured financings and revolving credit facilities. She also represents developers, investors and owners in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of real property. She works closely with businesses to ensure compliance with environmental laws, including advising clients on Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act regulations and assisting with the federal and state permitting process.

Drake W. Staples – Lexington, Ky., office – Construction Service Group

Staples is an experienced construction lawyer with a proven track record handling transactional matters and disputes for a diverse clientele, including owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals. He also has extensive experience drafting, negotiating and managing construction and vendor contracts for data center developers throughout the United States. In addition to his construction practice, Staples is a versatile litigator, regularly representing clients in a wide range of matters. His experience extends to business litigation, trust and estate litigation, as well as tort and insurance defense matters.
