Robert Connolly Elected to The Nature Conservancy Board of Trustees

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Nature Conservancy recently elected Stites & Harbison, PLLC Chair, Robert M. Connolly, to its Board of Trustees of the Kentucky Chapter.
Founded in 1951, The Nature Conservancy is a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive. Its mission is to conserve the lands and waters of the world. Today, the organization has more than one million members and contributes to conservation efforts in 79 countries and territories on six continents.
Connolly serves as Chair of Stites & Harbison and is a member of the firm’s Torts & Insurance and Business Litigation Practice Groups. Connolly has tried more than 80 cases to jury verdicts in numerous states. He has also argued before every appellate court in the federal and state courts of Kentucky. His practice includes defending complex product liability claims and construction and commercial disputes. He has also had experience in administrative, OSHA, insurance and admiralty claims.
Outside of the firm, Connolly is active in a variety of civic and charitable activities. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity Program, Inc. and a member of the Downtown Louisville Rotary Club. He is past President of the Board of Directors of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church, a local homeless shelter dedicated to mentally ill and chemically dependent individuals. Additionally, he is the past President of the Louisville Bar Foundation.
