Mike Cronan earns 2016 Brandeis School of Law Distinguished Alumni Award

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law honored Charles J. (Mike) Cronan IV of Stites & Harbison, PLLC at their 2016 Alumni Awards Luncheon held on October 21, 2016. Cronan was among those honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award.
“I think almost anyone in our community would agree no one is more deserving of this award than Mike Cronan,” said Robert M. Connolly, Chair of Stites & Harbison. “He is an exemplary role model for the legal profession, and we have the honor to call him both our colleague and our friend.”
Cronan is a Member (Partner) of the firm. Having tried numerous cases, his practice focuses on civil litigation, with emphasis on business and complex litigation, health care law, and alternative dispute resolution. Cronan has made dozens of seminar presentations and has written numerous articles and other publications relating to litigation and health care law. He has contributed to chapters in three editions of the University of Kentucky publication, Kentucky Health Care Law. He is a member of the selective American College of Trial Lawyers; top-ranked in Chambers USA; named a “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in America® for 5 years and recognized as a Best Lawyer in America® since 1993; honored as a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation; and named to Kentucky Super Lawyers. Cronan’s leadership experience at Stites & Harbison has included serving as Managing Partner as well as Chair of the firm’s Health Care Service Group.
Outside of the firm, Cronan is currently President of the Louisville Bar Association. He serves on the Attorney Steering Committee of Citizens for Better Judges. He is a member of Rotary Club of Louisville. His civic and community involvement has also included service as Chair of the Board of GuardiaCare Services, Inc., recently merged into ElderServe, where he continues to serve as a member of that board.
