Kentucky Commission on Women and its Foundation Gain Stites & Harbison Attorneys

Janet Craig and Anne Gorham become board members
LEXINGTON, Ky.—Governor Steve Beshear recently appointed Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney Janet Craig to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Commission on Women. Craig replaces Phyllis S. Anderson, whose term has expired. Attorney Anne Gorham was also recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Commission on Women Foundation, Inc.
The Kentucky Commission on Women is dedicated to elevating the status of women and girls in the Commonwealth, empowering them to overcome barriers to equity, and expanding opportunities to achieve their fullest potential. The Kentucky Commission on Women Foundation, Inc. was created to assist in sponsoring, funding and supporting the programs, projects and activities of the Kentucky Commission on Women. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds for designated projects of the commission.
Janet Craig is a Member (Partner) of the firm based in Lexington. Chair of the firm’s Health Care and Insurance Regulatory Service Groups, Craig is a seasoned attorney in health care law and regulatory insurance issues. She is experienced in certificate of need and licensure, reimbursement, managed care, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, and Stark I and II. A former General Counsel of the Kentucky Department of Insurance, she has an active regulatory practice. She represents a host of insurers and HMOs on matters ranging from market conduct and financial exams to mergers, change of control and rate filings.
Anne Gorham is a Member (Partner) in the firm’s Lexington office where she is a member of the Construction Service Group. Her practice focuses on construction law and litigation and sustainability and emerging technologies. She is a Fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers, serves on their board of governors and will chair their annual meeting in 2016.
