Jennifer Cave Appointed Chair of Stites & Harbison's Environmental, Energy & Sustainability Service Group

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC is pleased to announce that attorney Jennifer J. Cave has been appointed Chair of the firm’s Environmental, Energy & Sustainability Service Group. Cave succeeds Bill Gorton, who served as service group chair for 12 years. Both Gorton and Cave will continue their diverse legal practices in environmental law.

Cave is a Member (Partner) of Stites & Harbison based in the Louisville office. She works closely with businesses to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations. Cave advises clients on air quality, storm water, wastewater, and solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance requirements and defends clients in administrative, civil, and criminal enforcement actions. She also regularly counsels equipment manufacturers on the importation and sale of mobile sources under the Clean Air Act and guides clients through transactions involving the purchase and sale of contaminated properties.
Outside of the firm, Cave stays active in various professional and community organizations. She serves Greater Louisville, Inc. as Chair of the Environment and Energy Committee and is a member of the Public Policy Committee. She is a member of the Team Kentucky Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee, the Kentucky Air and Waste Management Association’s Board of Directors and the Kentucky Horse Park Commission. Additionally, she is a co-founder of Women Environmental Leaders of Louisville (WELL).
