Harold Butler named a 2016 CFO of the Year Finalist

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Business First of Louisville has selected Harold Butler, Stites & Harbison, PLLC’s Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, as a 2016 CFO of the Year finalist. Butler is one of four finalists in the large private company category.
Business First’s editorial team selected the finalists while a panel of judges, comprised of four of the 2015 CFO of the Year winners, will select the 2016 winners. Winners will be announced at a luncheon on June 9, 2016.
“Harold has been, and continues to be an integral part of Stites & Harbison’s success,” said Robert M. Connolly, Chair of Stites & Harbison. “The firm would not be as successful as it is today without Harold and his thoughtful financial guidance.”
Butler oversees Stites & Harbison’s accounting, financial planning, tax, audit, business insurance plans, health care coverage, and administrative functions. His direction has facilitated the financial stability and growth of the firm for more than 25 years. During his tenure, Butler has overseen several successful office mergers in other markets including Alexandria, Atlanta and Nashville.
Outside of the firm, Butler serves on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, the Fund for the Arts and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. As an active civic and community leader, he has dedicated countless hours and personal resources to numerous nonprofit and economic development organizations because of his belief in the betterment of the community in which he lives and serves.
