Governor Beshear Appoints Jenny Cave to Kentucky Horse Park Commission

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Governor Andy Beshear has appointed Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney Jennifer Cave to the Kentucky Horse Park Commission. She will serve a four-year term. The commission is charged with providing broad management expertise and direction in the operation of the Kentucky Horse Park as well as representing the diverse interests of the Kentucky horse industry.
Cave is a Member (Partner) based in Stites & Harbison’s Louisville, Ky., office. She has over 20 years of experience working as an environmental consultant and attorney across the United States. As a member of the firm’s Environmental, Natural Resources & Energy Service Group, she works with businesses to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental laws and regulations. Cave advises clients on air quality, storm water, waste water, and solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance requirements and defends clients in administrative, civil and criminal enforcement actions. She also regularly counsels equipment manufacturers on the importation and sale of mobile sources under the Clean Air Act and guides clients through transactions involving the purchase and sale of contaminated properties.
Outside of the firm, Cave participates in a variety of community organizations and activities. She is the Chair of Greater Louisville, Inc.’s Environment and Energy Committee and is a member of its Public Policy Committee. She also serves on the Kentucky Air and Waste Management Association’s Board of Directors, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Center for Policy & Research Board of Advisors and was appointed by the Governor to the Team Kentucky Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee. Additionally, Cave is an avid horsewoman who enjoys competing in the sport of eventing with her off-track thoroughbreds. She has fond memories of working with the draft horses at the Kentucky Horse Park while attending college at the University of Kentucky and regularly visits and competes at the Park.
