Legal Maneuvering: How the pandemic has forced Louisville law firms to rethink the workplace

The practice of law was already trending toward remote work when the coronavirus outbreak sent attorneys packing to their home offices in March, said Bob Connolly, chairman of Stites & Harbison PLLC in Louisville.

Connolly himself said he’s been able to practice law remotely for at least the last 10 or 15 years as a litigator, though he’s not been on a continuous work-from-home flow during that time. But as a result of the pandemic, the trend of taking clients virtually has only accelerated.

And it’s likely here to stay.
